Student Submissions Date:

Entry and Consent Forms, and Speech Draft must be submitted by Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019. 

Purpose

The purpose of the nationwide speech contest is to promote an understanding of Leadership among our nation’s high school students, and to develop vital communication skills needed to succeed in the world today. The NMA provides financial rewards to the winning students. 

Eligiblity

Students in grades nine through twelve in Southeastern Michigan are eligible, including public, private and home school students. The student must prepare and deliver an original speech, between four and six minutes duration, on the topic of Leadership.

Entries will be reviewed by the contest committee. Contestants will be notified of their selection for the competition.
